Karlsen Network
Building the fastest and most decentralized payment network
Karlsen is based on the Kaspa blockDAG introducing a GPU-centric solution to the dominance of ASIC mining farms, aiming to empower small-scale miners and enhance decentralization.
With Kaspa, our approach is one of friendly cohabitation. We operate under the same protocol, enjoy similar advantages, and face unidentified issues. Any significant improvements in the primary codebase will be shared back.
The Karlsen Network team believes in decentralization and we will ensure long-term GPU-friendly mining.
Phase 1: BlockDAG Development
Creating the Fastest BlockDAG with ASIC Resistance
Leveraging Kaspa's innovative GhostDAG, Karlsen stands out as the world's fastest, open-source, decentralized, and scalable Layer-1 solution. Our technology focuses on rapid block processing, high security, and ASIC resistance, promoting greater decentralization.
BlockDAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) and GHOSTDAG (Greedy Heaviest Observed Subtree) are advanced blockchain data structures that allow multiple blocks to be added simultaneously, enhancing scalability and transaction throughput.
We initially started with kHeavyHash and blake3 modifications, resulting in the creation of KarlsenHashv1. However, recognizing that kHeavyHash and blake3 are not future-proof in terms of ASIC resistance, we have launched testnet-1 with FishHash. This marks the world's first implementation of FishHash with Golang.
Phase 2: DeFi Integration
Integrating Karlsen with Decentralized Finance
Karlsen is connecting with the wider DeFi ecosystem using a smart contract layer built on the Cosmos SDK. This move enhances our network's ability to interact smoothly with other systems, increasing efficiency and creating new opportunities for users.
Phase 3: Payment Solutions
Creating the Ultimate Decentralized Payment System
Our final phase aims to fully integrate the Karlsen BlockDAG into the mainstream financial ecosystem. We're partnering with leading wallet providers to ensure our decentralized platform can handle transactions as smoothly and securely as traditional banks.
